Old Town

     You can travel through time by visiting the Old Town of Rhodes. Take a walk on the Knights' Road (Street) and travel with your mind on a journey into the deepest roots of Greek history. Discover all the stories told about the knights and castles, or even, create your own.

     During your visit there, you will see one of the many cannonballs decorating the exterior of the old town, which the Knights used to throw in a time of war. You will be surrounded by stone buildings with Gothic arches that have stayed intact since the 15th and 16th century.

     Next, visit the Palace of the Grand Master's Palace surrounded by huge walls, which is one of the greatest masterpieces. Walk on the walls of the old town and enjoy the whole view of the city from its highest point. The Knights Hospital, built between 1440 and 1489, is now used as an attractive archeological museum.

     Take a closer look to all the various of ancient finds from the island's archeological sites, such as marble statues, pottery, stunning mosaics and the unique marble figure of Aphrodite of Rhodes from the 1st century.
