7 Springs

   Taking a photo at the Seven Springs is a usual habit for locals and visitors. The background for any kind of professional or amateur photo shooting is outstanding. It is one of the most beautiful places anyone can visit in Rhodes. Its name comes from the seven points of the river Loutanis that are all forming a smaller river. These are passes through a narrow tunnel to reach the crystal clear waters of the lake.

   Guests can walk through this tunnel and enjoy the freshness and the coolness of the water that runs under their feet. The only accessible lake for swimming is where these waters ending.

   At the end of the tunnel there is a closed dam that forms an amazing waterfall. In front of the waterfall there are some big rocks where the visitors can take amazing pictures with the waterfall as a background A few wooden bridges, a pond with ducks and a rare species of Gizani fish contribute to the beauty of the area.

   The whole scenery is masterfully reserved, and daily, it attracts lot of visitors. The place is officially declared as a Natura’s 2000 protected zone, aiming to assure the long-term survival of Europe’s most valuable and threatened species and habitat. For ages this has been a must see site of the island.
