Lindos

One of the most popular places in Rhodes is the archaeological site of Lindos. It is situated in a large bay and faces the seaside village of Charaki. Its photos are usually decorating travel guides representing the island of Rhodes. Above the town rises the acropolis of Lindos.

An amazing castle that reminds the Old Town of Rhodes. It has high cultural and historical value. It offers a magnificent view of the surrounding harbors and coastline. During the night, its beautiful lighting transforms it into an outstanding image. All the restaurants, the cafe and the bars have an open roof that visitors may sit and enjoy the incredible view with a drink or food.

Even still, in the modern part of Lindos there is the dominant traditional element. Every single path has a uniqueness that remind a little bit of the Cycladic settlement. All the buildings have kept the traditional theme and structure. There have white walls with blue windows, wooden doors and paved floors. The transportation inside the village is by foot or by donkey since cars are not allowed. Both sides of the village there are large parking spaces and bus area.

In addition, Lindos Beach combines the sea with food and drink, because of the many places you can visit right in front of the beach. It is well organized with sun beds and water sports. After a wonderful swim and sunbathing, you can visit to one of the many Greek taverns and enjoy seafood and other flavors of Greek cuisine. There are many bar options with different style for your evening. In Lindos, everything closes early in the morning, so it is good for you to be prepared.
